Dan Zane
Northern New Jersey is saddened to hear that our friend and Flag Marshal from South Jersey has passed away. We send our deepest condolences to the Zane family, South Jersey SCCA and all Dan’s friends. Dan was a very active member of the SCCA and was always there to lend a hand and volunteer. He will be missed but never forgotten.

Dan along with his family and Meg Meyer were recipients of the 2011 The Vinny Blancuzzi Award.
Daniel J. Zane
We are sad to inform you that Daniel J. Zane passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Daniel joined the South Jersey Region Sports Car Club of America in 2007 following in the footsteps of his grandparents Walter and Alice Reeder.
Daniel obtained his Regional Flagging and Communications License where he enjoyed flagging for the various race cars.
Daniel so enjoyed the sport that he encouraged his father Everett and his late mother Shirley as well as his brothers Keith and Craig and his sister-in-law Terri to join the club.
He excelled and worked his way up the ranks to get his National Flagging and Communication License in 2019. He was promoted within the club to the Flagging and Communication Chief from which he retired on October 23, 2022.
After retiring from the Chief position, Daniel continued to work with the club in various other roles such as Equipment, Hospitality and began a new endeavor as Solo Safety Steward.
At the request of family, Daniel will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Internment will be held privately at The Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
